An update to PontaHR from August 6, 2026
Voluntary EEO self-identification, report exports, and a new pipeline view
A big one this round. We've shipped voluntary EEO self-identification for US compliance, and given the Reporting module three upgrades: exports, a new way to see your pipeline, and filtering by your own application questions.
Voluntary EEO self-identification
You can now collect EEO demographic data on your job applications, and get it back as aggregate reports you can actually file.
Head to Settings → Careers → Compliance and switch on Voluntary EEO Self-Identification. Once it's on, every application form picks up an optional Voluntary self-identification step just above the submit button, covering the four standard questions:
- Race / Ethnicity
- Gender
- Veteran status (VEVRAA)
- Disability status (the verbatim OFCCP Form CC-305 language)
Every question is optional, every question has a "decline to answer" option, and candidates can skip the section entirely. We say exactly that on the form, so nobody feels cornered.
Kept separate, on purpose
Demographic data is only worth collecting if everyone trusts it isn't quietly influencing decisions. So that's how we built it:
- Responses are stored encrypted, and completely separate from the candidate and their application.
- Your hiring team never sees an individual's answers. Not on the candidate page, not in the timeline, not in exports, not as an email variable.
- Our AI features can't read them either.
- Only owners, admins, and members with careers permissions can open the reports, and every time someone does, we log it.
The Compliance report
Head to Reporting → Compliance for your response rate plus a breakdown of each question. Always aggregate counts, never per candidate. You can narrow it down by job listing and date range, same as the rest of your reports.
This is recommended if your hiring is primarily US-based. If it isn't, leave the toggle off and nothing about your application form changes.
Export any report to XLSX or CSV
You can now get your reporting data out of PontaHR and into a spreadsheet.
- Export as XLSX at the top of the page gives you one workbook with a sheet per widget.
- Or tap the ••• on any individual widget to export just that one, as XLSX or CSV.
It works across Overview, Hired, and Productivity, and on the Reporting tab of a single job listing.
See your pipeline as a flow
Open the Reporting tab on any single listing and the Pipeline Conversion widget now draws your candidates as a flow: where they came in, where they moved, and where they dropped off.
Rejections are grouped per stage, and hovering over one breaks it down by rejection reason. Handy for spotting whether a stage is losing people to "not a fit" or to "accepted another offer".
Looking at several listings at once still shows the rollup you're used to.
Filter candidates by their application answers
If you ask custom questions on your application form, you can now filter candidates by how they answered. Open the filters on a single listing and your custom fields show up alongside the usual ones.
Dropdown questions match exactly, free-text questions do a contains search. Picking two values in the same question widens your results, adding a second question narrows them.
Improvements and Fixes
- ⚡ Better CV parsing. Resumes now come through faster and more reliably, especially scanned PDFs and image CVs that need to be read rather than copied.
- ✨ Ancient .doc resumes finally work. If a candidate sent you a CV out of Word 2003, we used to quietly choke on it. Now we read it. 🙈
- ✨ New workspaces start with email templates. Fresh orgs now come with the default set already in place, instead of an empty list.
- 🔧 Settings → Careers → Privacy is now Compliance, since it covers a bit more than privacy policies these days. Your old bookmarks still work.
- 🐞 Sending an email with an attachment could fail. It doesn't anymore.
- 🐞 Adding a cover photo to a job listing could take down its public page. Very cool, very professional. Fixed.
- 🐞 Reporting widgets with no data yet were confidently displaying "NaN%". They now show a proper empty state.
- 🐞 Moving a candidate could lose their current stage, if one of the stages they'd already passed through had since been deleted.
EEO is very much a V1, and we'd love to hear what you need from it. If there's a report, a question set, or an export format that would make your compliance filing easier, let us know. 👀
